• External sources should be authoritative and relevant when a calculator or guide relies on outside information.
• Information that changes over time should include a date, an editable value, or a reminder to verify the current rate.

Corrections and commercial independence

Errors should be corrected when they are identified and the underlying formula, explanation, or assumption should be updated as needed.

Affiliate, referral, advertising, or sponsored relationships must not change calculator formulas or results. Any such relationship should be disclosed where it is relevant to a visitor's decision.
